Set the Closing Time

The process will take about an hour; work it into your moving, working, and everything else. You will be responsible for bringing your funds (down payment, closing costs, prepaids, minus the earnest money you already

paid with the contract). Bring a copy of your sales contract; you may need to refresh your memory. Also bring a paid receipt for the homeowner's insurance you've purchased with a binder from the insurance agent.

The event itself may be smooth and pleasant or it can resemble a battle zone. If your seller has been difficult and you anticipate conflict, you can arrange to sign your part of the papers separately and simply have your real estate agent bring you the final papers, keys, etc..
